On February 17, 31 provinces confirmed 40 new cases in Inner Mongolia, 22 cases

From 0 to 24:00 on February 17, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps reported 87 new confirmed cases. There were 47 imported cases (21 cases in Guangdong, 13 cases in Shanghai, 3 cases in Fujian, 3 cases in Guangxi, 2 cases in Jilin, 2 cases in Shandong, 2 cases in Yunnan and 1 case in Sichuan), including 5 cases from asymptomatic infection to confirmed cases (all in Guangdong); 40 cases (22 cases in Inner Mongolia, including 21 cases in Hohhot and 1 case in Baotou; 9 cases in Liaoning, all in Huludao City; 4 cases in Jiangsu, all in Suzhou City; 4 cases in Guangdong, including 3 cases in Shenzhen and 1 case in Dongguan City; 1 case in Yunnan, in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture). There were no new deaths. Six new suspected cases were imported from abroad (all in Shanghai).

On the same day, 84 new cases were cured and discharged, 2164 close contacts were released from medical observation, and severe cases were the same as the previous day.

There are 740 confirmed cases imported from abroad (including 1 severe case) and 6 suspected cases. A total of 13248 cases were confirmed, 12508 cases were cured and discharged, and there were no deaths.

As of 24:00 on February 17, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are currently 1423 confirmed cases (including 7 severe cases), a total of 101316 cured and discharged cases, and a total of 4636 deaths. There were 107375 confirmed cases reported and 6 suspected cases. A total of 1570254 close contacts have been traced, and 30046 close contacts are still under medical observation.

31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 45 new asymptomatic infections, of which 25 were imported from abroad and 20 were local (12 cases in Jiangsu, including 10 cases in Suzhou and 2 cases in Wuxi; 7 cases in Yunnan, including 4 cases in Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, 2 cases in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, 1 case in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture; 1 case in Guangdong, Zhuhai City); on the same day, there were 5 confirmed cases (all imported from abroad), 55 cases of medical observation (51 cases imported from abroad) were released on the same day, and 706 cases of asymptomatic infection (605 cases imported from abroad) were still under medical observation.

A total of 40218 confirmed cases were received from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, there were 20342 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (15448 cases discharged and 238 deaths), 79 cases in Macao Special Administrative Region (79 cases discharged), and 19797 cases in Taiwan (13742 cases discharged and 852 deaths).
